Gesso on wood panels

I am on vacation from my full-time job this week, so now I can spend more time in the studio. In this picture, I am applying gesso to wood panels. I used to work almost exclusively with stretched canvas, but I now want to work more with wood panels. It is more expensive, but I think it is worth it in the long run.
